OwnerBased inside 4 World Trade Center, Silver Art Projects is supporting artists with the fundamentals to succeed in New York.
“It’s been nice to be immersed in New York City architecture while I work,” says Lindsey Brittain Collins, a multimedia artist whose kaleidoscopic pieces often center architecture and urban design as agents of social and economic change. Collins is gesturing to her clear view of Hudson Yards and the rest of Manhattan’s westside from her studio on the northern end of the 28th floor of the Fumihiko Maki-designed 4 World Trade Center.
Since September 2021, Lindsey and 27 other artists have been occupying flexible studios ranging from 500 to 1,500 square feet, spread over almost the entirety of the floor’s 44,000 square feet of raw unfinished space, as part of the second cohort of Silver Art Projects.
